The subject concerns the creation of simulation models of electro-mechanical actuators and the corresponding mechanical drive train in helicopter flight control applications. Target is the predictive simulation of mechatronics systems including kinematics for the purpose of feasibility studies, concept design and preliminary performance analysis.
Multi-level modeling of electro-mechanical actuators adapted to accuracy requirements, involved physics
Physics means: electromagnetism, thermal conduction, kinematics (multi-body) and failure scenarios
Validation of the models based on literature and experimental data
Predictive simulation of the performance of the electro-mechanical actuation system including selected failure cases
- Enrolled master/diploma student within Aerospace/Mechanical/Precisison Engineering, Mechatronics or similar field of study
- Sound knowledge of Mechanics (statics and dynamics) and Aerospace Systems
- Special Know How in actuation would be a big plus
- Interest in controls, electrical engineering & mechatronicsExperience with CAD modeling, CATIA V5
- Ideally knowledge in Simulink or Modelica/Dymola
- English: fluent
- Basics in German welcome
You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills, and are able to work independently.
